well if your wheels are big enough could get the discs redrilled from a vxr, or u can get 280mm off the mk 5

Theere are plenty of braking options out there, including the afteemarket route for 4/6/8 pot calipers etc.

Standard brake upgrades involve either a 4-stud 280mm brake conversion, or a re-drilled 308mm discs brake conversion, both involve the hub carrier being changed for one from a 5-stud car while retaining the 4-stud hubs and fitting the calipers and carriers froma 5-stud car (either 280mm 5-stud or 308mm 5-stud as the only difference is the caliper carriers between the two)

Have a search for threads I have started and you will see the details for both...

My thread has helped many do a 280mm 4-stud brake conversion

that is correct but u MUST use the hub carrier (aka knuckle) from a Mk4 as the locating hole for the TRE is different - fitting a Mk5 knuckle causes the camber and tracking to be quite a bit out

as Mark says though, the 4 stud 280 upgrade is a wise mod

Mark was the first, Me the second and only a handful of ppl have followed since but its well worth it and keeps the costs down over bigger 308/321mm upgrades
