    Im new and need help

I everyone, i have a astra 1.6 16v 2004 with a z16xep engine, ive got that orange light on the dash and am trying to find out why?
ive done some recerch and taken off the EGR and cleaned it.

    didn't work

replased sparkplugs, changed fuel fillter, changed oil, still no diffrence.

the car starts fine, but kangaroos abit whilst driving but can still get the rpm to hit 6500 no probs.

done the two pedal thing and this other orange light(car with spaner) started to flash 10 pause 1 pause 4 pause 1.

but cant find out what that means and i was hoping it was the other light that would flash squarish one under and to the left.

    any ideas pls

    Thanks

Moved to Naturallty Aspirated section Welcome

P0141 comes back as: a malfunction in the heated O2 sensor heater circuit which is causing the O2 sensor to perform inefficiently from Google.

I would guess this is a faulty lambda sensor on the exhaust somewhere but might be wrong, someone else will likely confirm or deny this

Thanks. havent looked yet but if the was a hole on exhaust would that explain.

The 02 sensor is that the one on top of the exhaust as it leaves the engine?

    Can the light be reset?

it can with some diagnostics software but will most likely light up again soon after. Ive also got this problem, can these be cleaned or reconditioned? Or is it just a new sensor?

sometimes a light clean with petrol can revitalise them, but on the whole if the sensor has failed through an electrical open circuit then it will be a new one

Theres only a heater built into the one post cat (under the car) so that would imply its not the one on the manifold, I'd just check its plugged in propperly and / or give it a quick clean, can be reached under the front of the drivers side, bugger to get off though sometimes...
N.b. any opinitons expressed above should be ignored and considered 'ramblings', under no circumstances should they be relied upon...

1.A hole could potentially cause it, unlikely I think though, wrap it and see...?

2.As per my other post, I think its the one under the car...

3.Can reset the light but it should go out on its own if you solve the problem...
