    air intake pipe :S

right i'm just wondering what the box shaped bit on air intake pipe after my induction kit and what its there for my strut brace keeps catchin it. I have looked into changin the pipe but there isn't any silicon hoses for a 1.6 twinport well not what i've found . Heres a pic of my engine bay with strut brace on and you can kinda see what i mean by the box well hopefully

i think its something to do with back pressure in the intake, making sure there is always a small reservoir of air after the filter. As far as i know anyway, might be wrong. If you cut a notch out of it, turn the bit cut out upside down, and reattach it, you will have a space for the strut brace.

i used a 1 8 pipe and some bodgery... doesnt cause any running problems except its a bit jerky on lifting of throttle so can be a bit tricky to drive smoothly in traffic but i dont care about that
