    Tragic Accident at the Winter Olympics

    A Georgian athlete died today at the Winter Olympics in Whistler, Canada. The accident happened while doing a practice run in the Luge. On Sky Sports News they say the part of the track where he had the accident they were getting upto 90mph and he hit a metal post.

    not good at all, feel for the athlete. however i suppose 1 plus thing is they died doing something they loved, rather than a prolonged illness.

    I watched it and its wasn't nice, he was doing 86mph in the corner he crashed. There were loads of steel poles right next to the track and not one of them with protective foam wrapping around them, just bare steel so he had no chance. Also apparently he didnt feel right on that particular run either.

    A lot of the lugers have apparently said that the track is very dangerous even before the accident happened so I wonder if the event will even go ahead.
