    Fuel hose size??

    Anyone know what size the fuel hoses are connecting to the fuel filter on the astra coupe 1.8?? Am thinking there 6mm and the hoses are blue if that helps..

    hiya mate i think they are 8mm id . there on a plastic clip fitting i think

    Cheers- whats happened is av got a split in the y branch which is connected to the fuel filter under the car!.. a need a quick fix and thinking just to order y branch and clips from demon tweeks...

    EM... 8mm looks a little bigger than a have though???

    you will need to order the correct connector piece for this from vauxhall, trying to bridge it will not work once the lines are pressurized and the tighter you do the clips the more the existing pipes compress, cutting off fuel and causing pump back pressure. another AOC member had a similar problem that i advised because it caused fuel pump and running problems.

    cheers steve- i went to vauxhall parts tonight and they want a fortune and said ad need to order up the full hoses?? all a need is the t-piece but said they dont do it??.. do u think there at it or where else can i get it???

    is this something a can cut out at the scrappy?? if a find a coupe or what other astras have this t-style piece??

    comes on the 1.8's and you will not be able to bridge or join this type of hose safely, you will need to raid your piggybank and get it from vauxhall or you will risk leaking fuel
