    Driver side electric window

Hello all from up north in chilly Scotland

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice?

Just got myself a mk4 Astra (which i'm loving after getting rid of my Peugeot!) and i'm having an issue with the driver side electric window.

It goes all the way down no problem, but when I try to put it back up, it gets about three quarters closed before going up and down on it's own (as though something is blocking it?).

I can get it closed eventually after pressing the up button lots of times!

Could it just be needing some silicon grease in the channels or is the motor maybe on it's way out? Passenger window works no problem if that's any help?

    Thanks!

Not to worry folks, I tried the window just after I got home from work and it's fine! Not sure what it was but it's working as normal now

    Thats good it's working now

If it packs up again a silicon spray will work well in the channels along with some grease on the mech

Could be the runner is loose, causing it to go out of alignment.
There have been a few reports of the securing rivets needing replaced.
