    1.8 rear discs

    i am after a set of mk4 1.8 non abs 4 stud rear discs and calipers if anyone can help wheres best place to start as buying all new is going to be expensive

    no but could be an idea i am guessing that scrap yards could be a good idea too as the scrapage deal got alot of astra mk4

    i have a rear disc setup from a mk3 astra gsi if your interested?

    they're 4 stud and non abs, i bought them for my mk4 not realising there was a difference (i have abs and so bought veccy rear discs to match lol):

    MK3 discs and calipers are completely differnt.

    MK3s have a drum in the disc for the handbrake, MK4s use caliper operated handbrake.

    Sorry just re-read original post, are you talking about converting from drum to disc or replacing original parts?

    In terms of converting from drums to discs, they fit -you just have to strip right back to the beam, put the new stub axles and back plates / calliper carriers on and rebuild from there. You do have to make some new brake lines from the flexi to the calliper though and attach the cable to the drum setup.

    I don't how it's set up on the mk4's that cam with discs?

    They fit mine, I just didn't want to take the chance of putting non-abs brakes on an abs system.
