    sprained ankle (pic)

    hey guys sprained my ankle last wednesday i was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to speed up the healing process picture below was took about an hour after i had done it the lump is about half the size now thanks for the help

    Go to the doctor to check that you haven't broken your ankle atleast

    If it isn't, I'd recommend you go to a chiropractor

    i spent 4 hours in a&e told it wernt broke got physo on friday j just wanna get back to work am suppose be saving for a house.

    Keep it above the height of your heart (Lay on the couch elevate your leg) compression bandages (Tubi grip) but go from your toes up to your knee, (Joint above and below area) ICE frozen peas... usual things.

    R.I.C.E - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

    Used to dealing with these injuries im an ex medic in the forces lol

    do it for around 20 mins every couple of hours, if it starts to hurt or not feel "right" remove it and leave it off for a couple of hours before going again.

    ok cheers i would ask how long till i can probly walk as i can now but with very limited movement but thats like asking how long a piece of string is lol

    Ouch mate that looks sore,, get some Arnica Cream for when it starts to bruise it helps seriously and it helps with the swelling,, you can get it from any good Heath food shop!!

    Ye pretty much mate, try and stay off it as much as possible and stick to the above for a period of time (couple of days). Obviously while laid chilling out do rotate it and move it around to stop it seizing up but dont go for mile long walks and things lol.
