    Another oil return pipe

    Well it's been leaking for a while, so on Saturday I bit the bullet and changed the gasket, which was a doddle to do; I did it by removing the entire return pipe. (Probably worth noting I have the later rubber VXR pipe)

    So I thought all would be well, then I drove it on Sunday night and the "check oil level" came on. I managed to have a look last night and the pipe was worse than before, with oil all over the bottom of the boost pipe.

    First question, regarding the return bolt that fits just above the sump, does it have to be turned a certain number of times for the holes in it to line up with the tube so the oil can flow freely?

    Second question, if the answer to the first question was yes, would this cause the return pipe to effectively be blocked and the oil be forced out higher up? (which is what it looks like)

    Finally, does anybody know what thread sized the bolt in question is? As I've been looking at alternative solutions to the problem.

    Banjo bolts are made that the fluid will flow regardless of the bolt position.
    Just don't overtight them. TIS says 30Nm.

    Replace the upper seal and use the right torque: 8Nm.
    Maybe a heat resistan paste will also help.

    I changed the gasket and had no luck, it just seems to be dripping worse, but I don't know why.

    So the bottom bolt can be in any position?
