Intended for North East members to organise their 2010 show season.
Right, hopefully no-one will mind. I have decided to put my thoughts down for the coming show season, which events I am planning attending and those I am missing. If anyone else wants to add their thoughts or plans feel free...
The idea being everyone can work out which events are going to be attend by the NE members and thus you can either join everyone, or avoid them, whatever takes your fancy .
It should also help people who have to book their holidays a long in advance.
Right here we go, in no particular order....
- I am 95% certain I am missing this event, last year was a washout, however the camping at before hand was rather fun. I have considered doing something else on this weekend, maybe a weekend away or something like that, with PVS being a fall back plan if I can't think of anything, but I have a couple of ideas.
Billing - I have decided to attend this again. Really good event and some really cool cars. Will definatley be there Saturday night, but I am considering Friday night aswell, with possibly a night out in Northampton.
- Never been and later on in the year, so I am tempted by this one, about 50% on this one. I have heard it is more chavvy than some of the other shows, but I am sure the combination of saxos corsas puntos and peugs should attract the JB. Possibly camping it up and BBQing for the weekend then I guess.
Cumbrian Classic Car Show - Last was wet and cold lol. Not a huge show but the BBQ was fun. I am not attending this year, I have decided to lend my support to the Yorkies at the Hull motorshow, as it is usually in the same month.
Hull Motor Show - 75% sure I wil be going to this event. Sounded pretty good, although there were claims about not being allowed BBQs, which might be a factor. Not though about camping it up front yet, but open to ideas.
Other shows on list possible list :-
Croft Circuit has some shows which I will probably pop along to, I believe we will not be officially attending and therefore no official stand.
Scottish motorshow is the week after PVS I believe, I might consider this show, but not really fussed at the moment.
VAG OPEL Belgium, well was tempted with this, but ultimately not on my radar for this year. Besides there are several other ideas being talked about at the moment.
Anyway apologies for the mammoth post. If are you looking for more info on the shows, please look in the shows forum area here :-
I hope this thread will help to decide and organise your 2010 show schedule...
