theyre good for roughly 3 years as its not stainless steel. if you want stainless go for cybox on ebay.

very loud. most people get a silenced centre section instead. no difference in power between race tube and silenced centre section as the silencer is straight through type.

get about 5bhp and torque will probably stay at standard. better throttle response though and a bit more willing to rev.

    cybox -http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-ASTRA-MK4-HATCH-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-SYSTEMS_W0QQitemZ370219011307QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5632c5cce b

extra 30 quid for a silencer in the centre pipe. just have to email them

    hope this helps

having had one myself, that rotted away around the flange and backbox link pipe within 8 months of it being on the car, i personally would not touch sportex. they are poorly made, do not line up properly and are chav loud. the aftersales from where i had mine was also very, very poor

Sportex are notoriously loud - even just the rear boxes alone are very loud

mate that up with a non-resonated centre section and youll regret it

im not one for quiet exhausts - anyone who knows me will tell u that - but theres a difference between loud-good and loud-bad and this falls into the latter category

if u want a nice subtle improved exhaust tone then theres much better alternatives out there
