Cambelt change 2001 Astra Van 1.7DTi

    Hi all.

I need to change my cambelt on my 2001 Astra Van 1.7 DTi. Is there a how-to somewhere or a service manual available to download?

How big of a job is it?

    Thanks.

    Simon.

If its any indication, the job has been given a difficulty level of "four spanners" in the Haynes Manual

Which according to the key translates as "Difficult, suitable for experienced DIY mechanic."

Had mine done a while back, as long as you line the locking points on the engine there should be much hassle.
Be aware there are many different tensioner types for this car so some modification may be required if you get a different one
