what year and engine size. the fuel filter is a simple swap but the fuel lines on the Astra come ready made from Vauxhall with the connectors heat shrunk on already

there should be no catching the pipe because it does not need to be clamped mate. never listen to 'a lad' in halfrauds or doom will follow. if you have to modify the oringinal pipework then it means the filter has been butchered to remove it and the pressure in these fuel lines when running will give you leaks for evermore. whereabouts you located mate?

if you were near me, i would have come and done it for you mate. £12 spent at machine mart gets you a pair of vauxhall fuel line pliers that are designed to compress the fuel line clips with no damage. money well spent imo
