    Sliding...

    Heya does anyone else's coupe's back end slide around very easily in wet, and if not why does mine, im kinda concerned as i have spun a car before any so very nearly hit a wall the last thing i want to do is ruin my Astra

    what tyres do you have on it and does it have a RARB?

    If the answer to the first is shit ones and the answer to the second is yes you have the answer.
    It would definitely go better with an engine in it

    Mine has before but think its got crap tyres on ... not sure about RARB why would it make it come out if you had one of them if they come with the car surely it shouldnt do it. I swear my handbrack locks on when turning sometimes tho ... weird :/

    Car doesn't have a RARB as standard. They stiffen up the rear end of the car, but can also increase the chance of lift off oversteer.

    Crap tyres are probably to blame, have had the back end slide on mine a few times due to them.

    My mk5 3dr is very prone to liftoff oversteer in wet weather. It's good fun.

    i assume its crap tyres then i have got my coilovers on order now so once they come it may help and i will look into different rears. Maybe add some weight too

    Not always crap tyres. Could just be the way the chassis and suspension is set up.

    My coupe does it in the wet sometimes, tyres aren't crap either. Just a lack of weight over the rear end really.

    If anything a RARB would surely make the back end go out more, as it's stiffer?
