    Digital dash bulbs, change colour??

Gonna upgrade my headunit at the end of the month to an alpine CDA 9886R. Unfortunatly the only lighting options are blue or red so wondering how easy is it to change the bulbs (only on the digital displays) to blue bulbs??

i want to keep the clear light behind the dials though, just for the digital displays really

IIRC someone has an MFD for sale already converted to blue LED's, it's in the for sale section.

But there is a how to floating around somewhere, don't think it's impossible to do, you just need to be able to solder.

If its a MK4 its very very easy did my missis car in about 2 hours (took most of that time to work out how to take it appart)
If its the MK5 not so easy but very do-able. getting mine done in a month or two, just cant decide on what colour to have.

Will be two or three twistlock bulbs as said above, there 501 bulbs or something, depending on what bulbs you buy, sometimes you can get hotspotting, its actually better to get slightly dimmer bulbs for the mdf imo
