    edge or fli active sub?

    hi all,

i can get these 2 subs pretty cheaply but was wondering which 1 would be better?

    cheers.

( i know this should probably go in ICE but its more of an opinion thread than a ICE fixing one!)

from what i remember... both are made by vibe, fli being the slightly better off the 2 and edge being the budget iirc

i was just erading an argument that the edge subs are ported where as fli are sealed..

therefore the ported ones can give better better flowing basslines, depth and volume providing the port is tuned well.

    any other ideas on this?

You're right, it should be in ICE, but the general section rather than MK specific

Pretty happy with my 10" Fli sub - not active, but works nicely with the Fli 800S amp it runs from (along with the 6.5" Fli components). Compared well with a setup of almost twice the price.

I know a couple of people who have bought edge sub n amps and they both took them back thats how good they was lol they look the nutts but pretty crap! fly is alright (bettter than edge) but if you really want a decent sub n amp just get vibe! i got the twin vibe cbr 3200w and its the besttt sub ive ever had!! Heres a website where you can get refurbed vibe subs cheapp! Its where i got i mine from! They do also sell fli subs etc! happy shopping

I have a fli 12" active am very happy with it even got one for my sisters car ! like the new style enclosures as well.

I suppose it depends on what type of music you like to a certain extent, i was always told if i wanted a punchy sound to go for the 10" rather than 12"

I listen to a lot of trance and the 12 does the job nice
