Firstly i hope this is in the right forum.
Im having a bit of a bad week.
Coming round a corner on a B road, there was sheet ice and the car went side ways, i put opposite lock on and the car started to straighten up. Then i came onto dry ground again and it gripped, pulling to the right and sticking the front end into a dry stone wall, probably only doing around 10mph at this point.
I bounced off the wall and stopped and saw the bumper lying in the middle of the road, so i put my hazards out and quickly chucked the bumper onto the back seats, (bit of a squeeze) then i drove about 20m around the corner to my mates house and pulled over.
Im not very mechanically competent but everything seems to be ok. The metal panel at the front inbetween the headlights is a little disfigured and the bumper is a little scratched and smashed in a few places but apart from this it seems ok. My friend helped me gaffa tape the bumper back on and i drove it slowly back to my house :/
Also i found out from my mates dad, that the reason the road was icy was that a woman had washed her car and the water had gone onto the road and frozen over :@
Is this going to be an easy fix? Could do with a little advice please
And sorry i didn't get chance to take pics.
