Hi all i have a mk4 astra GSI (2003) 60k miles) around 280 bhp) running on a regal Phase 3. The clutch has been slipping under heavy acceleration ever since i brought the car (5 months ago) the loss in power has to stop.
My question is:
Is the slippage being caused by the standard clutch not being man enough to cope with the power the car is producing or is this due to the cars standard clutch is at the end of its life?
I Am looking to have the phase 3.5 completed in the next few months and will need the clutch to be replaced before this is completed.
If it is a upgrade that is required what would be my best option?
ORGANIC CLUTCH or PADDLE CLUTCH
I really cannot see any added benefit of the paddle clutch although it does cost £200 more then a organic.
Thanks in advance )
