    cambelt ?

    i have a 2005 1.6 twinport sxi i was told by the garage that cause it was the z16xep engine the cambelt intervals were 100k ????
    is this true ???
    if not what is the proper interval ???

    I have a 2003 , 1.6 twinport. I was told the same thing from a main dealer.
    I didn't want to risk it, so had it changed at 90k. Apparently the belt is larger/thicker that's why it's 100k....don't know if this is true or not but that's what they said....

    i have the same feeling i will get it changed before the apparent 100k. also in the serice book it agen claims to be 100k

    Auto data also says 100000 miles and the tensioner and guide pully`s must also be replaced
