    poss gearbox problems?

Im adding to the never ending list of problems with this car now..

took it for a wee trip to the pertol station ( end o the road ) and herd some clicks and knocks..

windows down, foot down and apart from the pulling to the left again ( drumstick unthreading or ball joint away again ) everything is fine...

erm well untill i take my foot off the power that is.... getting a loud clicking and knocking from the front somewhere... thing is it go away if the clutch is pressed in tho..

    any suggestions people..

my list of faults so far is: ( mind the car dont go anywhere now as its kinda off the road now )

    Aux water pump gubbed,
    Fuse 13 constantly blowing,
Broken drivers drop link ( replacements there just no fitted untill rest gets replaced)
Wishbone needs replaced again as there is play in ball joint,
    Stem seals need replaced,
Collent level drops ( poss to do wi aux water pump tho )

    sure theres more too...

MOT in 20 days and now this problem with the clicking!

    blub..

Had something similar happen to me a few years back on a F*** Bravo, diff had collapsed - hope it's not that as it was a tad expensive to fix.
Think it's maybe time you got rid mate, you've a had a fair few probs over that last year or so. Now you're driving about the leafy lanes of the border hills wouldn't a Polo Blue be more in keeping with the surroundings

    hmmmmm..

its puzzling the crap out me now..

been under the car today and cant see anything obvious.
the outter cv sleave is bust and looks to be running a litle dry, but ill re grease it and put a replacement cover on it, but if it was that then it would make noise all the time, so dont think its that.

my m8 has a VR gearbox he said i can have BUT then i still have to get drive shafts and etc to make it fit so thats no really an option.

I wonder if it could just be that the clutch is on its way out? is there a way to check this without having to drop everything out the car?
