    todays little mod :)

    Fitted my bonnet lifters today and i think it looks much better, had to get some different washers because the ones they come with are huge lol, and they wouldn't go down at first but got there in the end, heres some pics

    before:


    since this pic i added:
    polished strut tops
    bonnet lifters
    polished brake fluid cover
    polished oil cap
    polished rocker cover bolts

    i nearly put them upside down lol, i couldn't get them to move first of all because of all the grease inside the lifter was rock hard so i couldn't get my bonnet down lol

    Thats what i was thinking because they wont self lubricate and the seals will end up going dry

    i had the same problem with the washers supplied the hole was to big and the nuts practically fell through the hole. quick trip to wilko's sorted that though

    No they won't. And where has this idea come from that they should go a certain way?

    They're going to spend 99.9% of their life in the closed position meaning the ram will be snug inside the barrel where the grease is, and are going to be almost horizontal. So tell me how being one way or the other is going to affect them?!

    The only reason they will sieze up or shear is because they are cheap and crap. Why are they so cheap? Because they are so crap, and it won't be such a wrench to replace them

    I should be fitting mine in a couple of weeks
