    Remap, Aggressive or Progressive?

    Iam going to regal soon for 3.5 remap, iam on a standard map at the mo and just wanted to no wot would be better, aggressive or progressive? i dont do alot of motorway driving its mainly round town. thanks for any advice

    im gonna go for the more aggressive option i think, just prefer it when the boost comes in hard. get the tyres workin lol

    progressive is much better for the engine and gearbox mate, if you get a aggressive map, then you can always just adjust how hard you press the pedel, lol

    Aggressive maps have no value other than make you think you got more for your money than you actually did.
    They put addition stress on the engine, gearbox and drive train and are just a gimick.
    Most engine development in racing is about spreading peak power as wide as possible and making the delivery as smooth as you possible. Engines may be detuned for some tracks to improve the power delivery and make them faster.
    And you want the opposite?

    why not get aggressive map with a set of good cams to shift the power band up the rev range, that way you still have traction.

    i do like to feel the turbo kick in quite hard but as other people have said it causes extra stress on gearbox etc.

    u cammed urs then? does it make alot of difference?
