Computer buffs - spyware issue (maybe)

I keep getting a folder added to my desktop without me asdding it there.

It's just a "new folder (2)" folder, with nothing in it, seemingly, but it keeps getting added for some reason

Not only that, but adaware AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALWAYS detects something, some cookie entry. It's started detecting sod all.

SuperAntiSpyware aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalways at the very least detects an "adamt.txt" entry (i think it's that, or something very similar, maybe "admt") but that detected sod all

    Malwarebytes Anti Malware detected nothing.

Rann all the progs in normal and safe mode.

    What's the crackalack?

Have you tried running spybot search and destroy? I find that AVG + spybot gets rid of most spyware.

Try a-squared ( http://download.cnet.com/A-squared-Free/3000-8022_4-10262215.html?part=dl-6251182&subj=dl&tag=button ) its seems to be the in scanner at the moment.

Also check the all users folder for a "new folder 2" could be that its in there and thats why it keeps appearing on yours....

the guys on this forum are guru's with this sort of thing, sorted out a few issues for me, have a good read at other peoples posts and replies and you'll quickly see the way they work

    http://discussions.virtualdr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71

probably 13 year old whizz kids, but damn they are good

well worth doing, they'll see and find things that "normal" people can't and then tell youo what to use to get rid of, as this will vary from issue to issue
