    Biggest Boost Levels on Z20LEx

I was wondering what the most boost people have seen running through the LEH/LET block?

Some guy on a vxr forum is running 30psi overboost on a garrett GT2871RS and just seems like alot to me, Not sure on how long the garrett will last.

Ran my stock z20let bottom end to 21 psi the other day on the t34 its running on, thats roughly 435 bhp. It Runs everyday @ 17 psi which was dyno`d at 360 bhp 400 ft/lb at red dot a few weeks back.

So with vxr pistons, steel rods + arp bolts you say that 30psi is more than fine?

30 psi is a lot of boost whichever turbo you use and whichever pistons and rods you use, a turbo is only good to a certain point after which all the air being forced into the engine becomes too hot to make power and will start causing heat and reliability issues. At that boost it would make sense to use a larger turbo.

Depends on all your other mods and how healthy the engine is, the car should be mapped untill it doesnt produce any more power and and its still within the safe zone from pinking/dett.
Oggy mapped an astra vxr 2 weeks ago and that made 327 bhp with breathing mods and an uprated intercooler.
