    gear knob removal

    hi all,

have bought a new gaiter surrond for the gear stick, but i am a bit stuck.

How do i get the gear knob off?? have got the centre console unscrewed and up, but dont want to break anything by forcing the gear knob off.

    cheers

I am not 100% sure but the knob itself you turn off. Its normally just screwed on.
But don't bugger it up and blame me

lol did try that but seeing as it has the reverse lever didnt want to twist it to hard and break the thing.

might try twisting just a little harder...and if it does break you will be receiving a pm... lol only joking.

Did you have any success with removing the gear knob? I'm trying to do the same thing for a diesel model astra, H version. Keen to hear from you about this, tx Drew.
