My brother came home today and said there is a clunking noise from the front end of his car, so i drove it up and down the street and it clunks mainly when the car is turning. So i jacked up the car on the drivers side and the front driver side wheel is running fine and no clunking and the passenger side wheel is sat still on the floor, next minute the passenger side wheels is spinning and the clunk noise is there!?! But i dont understand why the passenger side is spinning too because the dif is ment to send all the power to the driver side seeming its moving freely and the passenger side is sat still, Kinda like if the car was stuck in mud on that side and the driver side is trying to make it move again...

Any one got any idea's? Got a feeling its gonna be the gearbox but just want to know what some other people say before i go taking on a massive job for something small that may need to be replaced instead of the box.

Thanks, MARK
