Any alarm is only as good as it's been fitted

Also it depends on what you want from it. IMO the vauxhall alarms good enough but then others disagree

I'm going to move this to the general ICE section as I feel you'll get a better answer there. If it was about a broken alarm it would get moved to a electrical section

clifford would be the route id take. i have a clifford on mine along side the cat 1 vauxall alarm.

so now my car has, 2 alarms, 2 immobilisers, dead lock, anti jack, tilt sensors, interior and ultra sonic sensors, gives a warning churp if you lightly bang it, door boot and bonnet sensors, battery back up multi tone sirens, panack buttons, options for door poppers etc.

Clifford, basically only because It's recognised by insurers as a very good piece of kit!

Isnt the standard vaux immobiliser by-passed though?

Clifford will be your answer if you need those specific features. Alarms can be programmed for total closure, just make sure the one you get is Thatcham Cat 1 & has Blackjax as part of it's features.

Only reason you would need the immobiliser bypassed would be if you fit the optional remote start feature.

clifford, viper very much the same but bearing in mind the oe alarm/immo if it is the cat 1 version would be harder to bypass than aftermarket anyway best thing to do and cheaper would have been to add some other sensors onto the vehicle be it microwave or digital tilt etc
