    Question MK4 Heater/Blower Problem

I have a problem with my Heater/Blower. I have read other threads to try and sort the problem but had no luck. I have replaced the Resistor as i read this can be a common fault but still not working. However, there are two wires (red and black i think) that go into the side of the motor casing behind the glovebox. When i pull or wiggle these wires about the blowers start to work. I have tried getting into the casing to take a look but not been able to do so. Anyone know how to get into it or what the problem might be.

I have also taken off what i believe to be the Scuttle panel off and filter for the air inlet (below the wipers) and if i lightly put pressure the motor/fan it beings to work again. Anybody got any ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a dodgy connection inside the blower motor.

just get a whole blower motor from a breakers, i tried to fix my intermittant blower, it did exactly as yours, thinking this will be easy but turned out to be a problem right inside the motor assy at the brushes, which make contact with the comutator at the end of the coils right inside. In the end it was simpler to swap it out.
