ordered my VXR turbo, should i get a restrictor bolt??

    Hi peeps,

ordered my new VXR turbo today, gonna b fitting asap (to my z20let GSi)
want to know, if ur using a VXR turbo, r u using an oil restrictor bolt?
    Have you had any problems?
(reading a few threads on here were people are having a few problems and i'm now worrying a bit)

    My car is standard, except:
    de-restricted air box,
    veccy c intake,
    iridium spark plugs,
    powerflow backbox.
    Baileys dumpvale (with 1-way valve)

anyone out there using the VXR turbo (on their GSi) with no probs???

    Company called Turbo dynamics

They will fit a 360 thrust bearing and uprated oil seals

for the sake of a couple of hundred quid i think its the best option to go for

    any1 else done this,
i'm not worried about gaining lots of power at present (maybe in the future)
my turbo's on its way out and this was the best deal for a replacement.

uprating a turbo by Turbo Dynamics includes (standard upgrade) 360 degree thrust bearing, blueprinting and uprated oil seals, this will set you back £200 but it makes the turbo stronger and more reliable.

they are able to do much more to it, but youd have to enquire about that yourself.

this is a very useful thread, http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=219461 curtosey of npd.
