    gps antenna

Going to get round to putting a satnav build in soon. Is there a vauxhall GPS antenna to replace the standard one on the roof for the best signal? Cant find any and a generic one might not fit.

The vauxhall ones are a replacement antennae base for the roof, but they're not cheap.
I get pertectly good results on my Alpine sat nav with the supplied antennae mounted on the dash, in the corner of the front windscreen.
What type of sat nav are you thinking of adding?
What antennae connection does it require?

There's no reason the built in aerial in the garmin won't pick up satalites mounted inside the plastic centre console if it already gets a clear signal stuck to the windscreen. The only time you'll have a problem is with heat reflective screens

Can't remember the last time I mounted a GPS aerial on display

We had to use one of those antennaes recently.
Mind you that was after we'd built a pioneer F500 unit into the dash of a old Jag, couldn't get a signal of any sort with the built in antennae.
