    Question Temp gauge

    hiya all just a quickie, the temperature (water) gauge in my coupe doesn't go up when i drive around but when sitting still it does, the car is running smooth as and the fans kick in so anyone got any idea what's up and if i need a part what it is....

    Yep its defo thermostat that is stuck open you just need to replace it andc it will be bk to normal m8
    Astra Gsi full miltek catback , tx enlarged top hat and boost pipe with Baileys dump valve , cdti air box

    Easy job then - thermostat is about £30 new from a dealer, can be fitted with or without changing the coolant completely depending on what you prefer to do.

    The engine nevers reaches full operating temp, so the ECU overfuels vs normal temperature running.
