i had a car listed for sale on a few sites an last monday i had a caller ring me up to view it etc, they come down to look at the car and seemed genuine enough to me,
had a good look at the car shown them the few bad bits and a test drive etc so they could see the car is fine. had a good banter and then they tried bargain down the price etc came to a deal and sorted the log book out.
now they *apparently* have a garage and was purchasing the car for the company so they shown me all the business details and filled in the trade section on the log book which is what i then have to send off and they keep the rest of the log book because im just gettin my named removed from it.
however that all went well and that took place on the 11th of jan at about 9pm
i then got a courier delivered letter this morning stating the car was found abandoned on the m1 at 6.24am on the 12th of jan with the keys in the vehicle and nothing wrong with it,
its been took into compound and so far has ecumilated £600 of fees, i explained my situation and they said that once dvla recieve the trade part that iv sent everything should be sorted.
has anyone ever experianced this before and does that seem right?
i find it extremely strange that someone would purchase a car, and abandon it on the motorway with the keys 9 hours later!
