    X20XEV mods

hey all, currently i have a mk4 astra 2.0 sri, and have been in two (or more minds lol) about whether to keep it or not

i think i am edging toward keeping it as it is my 1st car and i am quite fond of it

i was wondering, if i did the following mods to it, how much power would i be able to achieve, and how much it would cost? also what else could i need?

    NGK Spark Plugs
    Magnecor Leads
    Adjustable Fuel Pressure Reg
    Dbilas Flowmaster Intake System
    Dbilas Throttle Bodies
    200Cell CAT
Stainless steel catback (currently remus centre + irmmy backbox)
    Fast Road Cams
    4 Branch Manifold (lexmaul/freidrich?)
    Gas Flowed Head

    Lightened Flywheel
    SS bottom pulley
    Vernier timing gears
ARP rod bolts (does the rod need balancing with these?)
    ARP head studs

    Hello....

I have a x20xev too and have done the following:

    -Iridium plugs
    - Derestricted airbox and veccy C pipe
    - Fast road cams
    - regal remap
    - ported TB
    - 10mm spark leads

It was RR'd at regal and was quoted 160bhp (this was not without the ported TB and not running shell optimax)

I am also fitting a lexmaul 4-2-1 and 200 cell cat in the future so will update when done.

    Hope this helps

thx for the replies! 160 is good for the mods you've
    done!

if it was pushing about 200bhp N/A, how would it compare with a civic ep3 type r or a mk4 gsi astra?

GSi will have oodles more torque, but it should be nippy enough with 200 naturally aspirated horses running around under the hood

the gsi will also likely consume more petrol, have a higher insurance and I guess turbo engines are more likely to fail

The turbo may be more prone to fail, not sure on the engine, don't see many fails on here.
