    Cool cdti servicing quote

    hi

got quoted £98.31 by VX which includes VAT for an oil change, oil filter, and an engine flush for my 57 1.3 cdti for a 10k interim service.
last was at 8550 on 08.09,...now im like at 18,000.

is this price about right?, a good deal?.

is that all what needs doing on a 10k service?.

    thanks.

I'd say that sounds very cheap for a main dealer...

Also, are you sure thats the right service? have you had a "major" service yet?

Your first year would be an interim whereas if your sig is anything to go by this would be a "major"?
I no longer have a Sig

thanks, it had its major service on 08.09 @ 8550. the car was at 12k when i bought it.
thats the only stamp in the book and the book is a duplicate which came with the car..
i can only think it had its interim service before that major....hopefully.

re the quote, - the same vx dealer quoted me £125 the other day...lol....
i was told this £98.3 quote is menu priced, and already discounted so cant use no trade club card...

    Hi mate,
I did my 1.3 astra and parts were only £40 inc vat. for oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter. Could you not do it your self as it will save you £50.

    Many Thanks
    Daryl

    Hi,
I always do air filter and cabin filter, you can be suprised at how much crap there is in the cabin filter, ive got my auto data cd in my other laptop so i can giev you the exact at what is done on an 18k service but pretty sure its just oil, oil filter, cabin & air filter. (you can change the coolant if you want but i just top it up lol, and just check you power steering fluid and brake fluid. i think the fuel filter need doing on the next service. but i will double check tommorow (or later today) and let you know.

p.s its unbelievable how many people spell my name darryl instead of daryl its so annoying there about 20 different way of spelling it and no one every gets it right lol

    Many Thanks
    Daryl

I found out today from my VX dealer that they will price match any service as long as you can prove the quote. Not sure if this is true of all VX dealers though.
