    Throttle sticking

Don't know if it's right section, but for ages now when i start the car, usually when it's cold, it revs upto 3-4thousand revs and stays there for a couple of seconds, well yesterday it did it and stuck there for quite a while, but whilst waiting for it to sort itself out i noticed there was no compression on the accelerator pedal......so i'm guessing the cables either stretched or sticking.

    Easy fix? How much?

    Thanks very muchly.
