?front doors. the plastic damp proofing

just wondered if anyone could help. went to a mate house today as he was fitting some front speakers and was unsure so i was going to see what he had bought etc and see if they were any good. however he had took the full door cards off and all the plastic damp proofing stuff ripped off, which im assuming should stay on, he tried to match it back up with no luck and asked me what to do . well i dont really no so whats the next step, iv jus told him not to put his new speakers in incase of heavy rain ?? is there anything he can do, i dont want to give duff advice and him ruin his speakers ? cheers

Tell him to Dynamat his doors. Ive done mine & replaced the plastic sheet with sections of dynamat over the holes without any problems.

Most/all of the speaker is mounted in the car, not the door.
That's what the mounting spacers are for.
