    Misty Windows?

Hi all, am I right in thinking that when the windows in my mk4 keep misting up and don't get any better after being warm for a while, does the pollen filter need changing?

Also my rear window heater isn't working do I have to rip all the wires up to find the problem or is their an easy solution? I was advised to open the boot and in the top left pull the cover open to see the wires and try to pull the black wire as far out as possible, but it isn't budging??

Pollen filter is worth checking....that proved to be the sticking point in my old mk4.

Dead cheap and simple to fix yourself aswell.

Definately not a fuse gone on the heater???

remove the glovebox and push the re-circlate button. you should hear a motor move. If not its that which is causing the misting. you need to lift the flap up behind the mesh on the blower

sorry worded a bit funny, the re-circlate button is next to your aircon or rear window heater (if you don't have aircon) on the centre console, not behind the glovebox as could be read. if you remove the glovebox you can then see and hear wheather or not the switch/motor is working

lol Thanks for that, I swapped my pollen filter for a new one today and when I had the glove box out and pushed the recirculate button the motor kicked in.
