    EDS Manifold + Phase 3.5 - 309bhp 334lbft

Had a little trip to Regal on Friday!
The graphs will have to wait until Monday but I had the new EDS manifold fitted and am now running 309bhp + 334lbft. Holding 309 bhp it from 5200rpm to 7000rpm!

All I'll say for now is that the car is awesome!!

Here's a before and after RR:

    RR Graph Link

The car was run 12 times with pretty consistent results (Although it was getting a bit hot atthe end!) Max run of the day was 312bhp + 334lbft.

It's running 19psi so could be turned up a bit. However as the internals are standard.....!

More torque would just mean more wheel spin. The graph shows that torque has been reduced slightly at lower revs which means it actually puts the power down much better now and hold the power for much longer.

I would certainly recomend the manifold but it all comes down to how much you want to spend.

I'm running a Miltek exhaust, Hybrid KKK04 Turbo on a Dbilas Manifold & Regal Inlet Cam. Along with the usual P3.5 hardware, PWR Intercooler with 63mm pipe work right through and uprated fuel pump.

Actually I have just noticed your graph...you have spent £600+? and gained 6.5bhp and lost 8.4ftlbs of torque!!! And your recommending it?

No wonder Courtenay ditched this manifold design and moved onto something very similar to the original manifold design.

its not about the gain as you look at it. your the type of person who looks at a max figure and assumes bigger is better. it doesnt work like that. its about where the gains are, how long the gain is, how well it holds and handles the power.

now the way i read the graph.

bhp is held to the redline and doesnt drop off like it did before
torque is the same as above, its much higher than before at high revs.
    boost is better
power curve, torque curve and boost curve to name a few are all much smoother.

you mentioned only a 6.5bhp gain. look at 6000 rpm, there is a 40bhp gain there! 6500rpm around a 50bhp gain! peak power figures mean nothing.
