    law on window tints?

    was thinkin of gettin my MK5 astra tinted, and i was wondering wats the law on it. i no the back can be as dark as u want but wat about the front 2? is light tints acceptable? ive seen a few cars with the light

    The tint has to allow 70% light through and cops have a roadside test kit for this.

    Been covered a few times dude. I think the front windows have to let like 70% of light through so legal tints on the front are barely noticeable.

    In short: there's really no point in having tints on the front if you're going to do it by the book!

    Most factory standard front windows have a tint to them anyway so even if you do put ones on that let 70% thru, when this is added to the standard tint they will be illegal. Waste of time IMO, not worth the bother
