    Radio turning itself on!

    Hi all ,our 54 plate 1.8 astra elite auto 15 kmls. you turn the radio/ cd off , lock car and about 15mins later radio is playing to itself , turn it off via the knob and same thing! turn it off via the key and same thing just comes back on!I have disabled the key side and same thing,on screen display lights up outside temp etc with music playing all very nice but! any ideas please, many thanks , RAP.

    I believe it's a known problem but can't remember what the fix is for it

    thanks for that autosparks can you rack your brain to remember what it is, its just stayed off for 1hr and on it comes again, car locked etc. may have to take out fuse in short term if thats ok! thanks rap

    Faulty radio mate. No other fix as to change it or risk that your battery will get drained.

    thanks for that blackbird, any idea of cost or if i get one from salvage yard does it have to go on computer to match up with car, Rap.

    Is it a cd30? If so then you have to make sure you always have a cd in it, then you don't have the problem. It is a work around but you don't have to buy a new one.
