205 tires on sri turbo wheels?

just wondering if i can put 205/40/17 on my sri turbo wheels instead of the usual 215/40/17 ... reason being i can get pilot exalto on the cheap and you cant get them in 215 :P

got 215s on mine now as they came up in the right price. In the past Ive used 205s and noticed pretty much no difference apart from they didnt scrub as much. The tyres will look a bit stretced with it being a 7.5" rim which makes it a bit of an arse to pump a complte flat back up but aside from that there spot on
It would definitely go better with an engine in it

while on the subject, can this affect the MOT? if you have the "wrong" size tyres on?

ive done the same mate had a zr trophy while a was looking for a turbo cabby. after sick of looking for a decent europa blue cabby thought i would put sum money into the mg, put perreli p zero nero's on then a week later found a cabby swapped them over and its ideal mate. had them on about a year and no problems so far!!!!
