Sorry I didn't spot you were talking about a MK4, I've left my original response below as it may be helpful to MK5 owners.

You would want the Bi-xenons, You can get them from Vauxhall, they are made by Hella and are basically the non-AFL version of the lights.

93178637 - NS NON AFL Xenon
93178638 - OS NON AFL Xenon

they are expensive from Vauxhall, but you can sometimes get a good deal from some dealers.

You would need to use an aftermarket D2S HID kit as the vauxhall ballasts & bulbs are VERY expensive.

To get them to work, there is a little mod that can be done inside the light to provide a couple of extra earths for the ballast and high beam shield.

You then just plug them in, the levelling switch inside the car works as well.

You will need some GM Sharkeyes, they will set you back over £400 alone. You will have to use aftermarket HID's with them, but they work the same as factory ones.

No warnings up on the dash etc.

ive had two astra g ones with normal lights and now i have a GSI with standard xenon hids, ive removed lights in the past and there is an extra very small connector that goes to the bulb holder, i think this is for the leveling so you will probly need to modify something

Dean give me a bell and I'll pop down and give you a hand, for anyone else that wants to know, you will need all the wiring loom the engine dash and to the rear of the car, there's the head lamps balast connectors that fit to the bottom of the lamps you need the correct head light switch (one without the manual adjustment) and the rear beam level adjustment.
