    Question Cables under ash tray

    i notice today whist cleaning the inside the trim under the ashtray where the tc and cruise control switches are on some cars i have 3 wiring looms plugged into the under side what are they? and are they connected? could i just add the switch?
    1.6 star silver, mk4 astra, Blue dials, 2000 watts.

    They'll be the looms and connectors for the heated seats.

    NO

    unless you have either heated leather seats or factory fitted heated cloth seats (mega rare and not going to be on your model im afraid)

    generic wiring looms were fitted on most models to save on manufacturing costs so quite often youll find connectors and additional wiring for components that arent fitted
