How long have you been in your current job?

Do you generally switch every x-years or stick around?

Also, unless you're anal about it to put it into some sort of perspective - what's your age?

I've been in my current (& only) job for what'll be 12 years next month.

    I'm 26.

Possibly also one of the reasons as to why i've not left so far - i know nothing else. It's habit & i get caught up in routine, always have.

    You?

Supermarket pretty much from school. Was a supervisor at morrisons for 12 months aged 19. Hated it so started, rather belatedly, a plastering apprenticeship. Just finished my time at end of last year, am now self employed and can earn whatever I want (within reason). You're your own boss, you choose when you work it's pretty good going.

I'm 29. I've been in my current job for 20 months and loved every minute.

I left the last one because I was made redundant, the one before that I left after 7 months because I despised it. I have no plans on leaving the current job, I enjoy it too much.

Dave, given your job you're lucky you've made it to 25. I still think you're a nutta!

On and off for about 15 years I guess. (Im old, 39)

My parents ran a hand print finishing company that I used to be heavily involved in, then even when I had a full time job, if there was finishing to do, I would do it at weekends and in the evenings.

Now I work from home, so I can spend time with Hope, and still do the print finishing, so its all good really.

The longest I stayed at another job was 6 years, and only left because the woman who's event horses I worked with moved too far away for it to financially make it worth my while.
