    found some white/yellow gunk at oil breather.-with pics

    im in the process of cleaning the carb and just disconnected the oil breather to find:




    is it anything to worry about??

    thinking about the head gasket I also checked the oil cap but there was nothing there, it looks normal.

    if your doing lots of small trips this can happen. i done afew short trips in a week n went to top up my oil after a wee drive and had a bit of white on my oil cap and got very worried about it being the head gasket.

    then was told it was most likly condensation. it was gone after a good drive up the motorway

    typical 8v engine problem in winter from oil vapour condensation, a good long run each week getting the engine good and hot will help keep it down

    thanks for the replies! phew...my mind was screamin "head gasket" haha

    yeah, i do pretty much only small trips in and around dublin.

    its a 16v engine but im sure it happens.
