    Can I fit 205/40/17 on SE2 alloys? - fast replies please ;-)

    Hi people,

just wondering if and what would happen if I fitted 205/40/17 tyres onto my SE2 alloys rather than the recommended 215/40/17?

I need a set of 4 urgently and the price difference is significant.

    Any advice would be great!

    Cheers guys

Cool, is that the only negative side effect then? How will handling etc be affected?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I see.... I guess as its not the proper size for the tyre, the actual amount of the tyre in contact with the road will be less than 205mm as it will be being stretched?..... does that make sense? lol

you will have less tyre on the road as it is a narrower tyre. and it wont be stretched
