    Advice

    Hi all i have only just got hold of my astra mk4 and was wondering what ideas people have as i am undecided as to what i wanna do to her yet
    it is far better to die at full throttle than to live behind a desk

    Alloys are usually people's first choice, engine wise- not alot on a budget, the engine doesn't respond well to cone filter's etc.

    Other than that little things: xenon headlights, window tints, maybe change the lights, the grille swap is popular.

    Depends on the look your after really?

    Grille...lower, wheels depending on the colour maybe GSI lights, back box...

    Hey, im kinda new and didnt wona make a new thread just for this, so sorry for hijacking it!

    i have a K&N cone filter on mine and its fine, what makes you say they dont respond well? thanks.

    Just keep it well maintained and tidy.. I personally prefer to keep things standard.. but it you must modify then go for irmsher/vx stuff

    Cone Filters Draw in warm air from in the engine bay, where the standard one draws cool air from outside.

    oh.. isnt that a good thing? haha how does that make them bad?

    (just posted my thread befor, as said in there i ride a motorbike and that has a pipe from the exhaust to the airbox so the airbox is always suplied with warm air)

    engine intaking warm air is bad.. engines prefer colder more dense air for better combustion..

    is it worth buying the standard airbox then? is the K&N going to do MUCH damage to my engine? its done around 70k miles & just had a new gearbox fitted.
