    mfd date display

    when i had my mk3 astra there was a red/white wire u cud cut to make the mfd constantly display the date if an aftermarket stereo was fitted instead of the blank screen, is therre a way to do this with the mk4

    Yes. To make it simple it's the same colour wire at the MFD you need to cut

    where is this wire? I have installed an aftermarket stereo but not sure which wire this is?

    It's also connected to power for the electric aerial and the backlighting of the steering wheel controls, that's why you cut it @ the MFD.
    It's just a switched 12v feed.
