Poll: Astra back on the road, new bumpers, new alloys, loads of tidying up

If anyone recalls how my car used to look here is some pictures:

    (Black Hatch)

I then done some tidying up under the bonnet:

Then decided cone filters arent to my taste at all so that was thrown for veccy c and K&N

Some people might remember the 'Astra huge modlist just done' thread as well
    http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=230008

Anyhows. This is how the car is now looking:

    A Chopped irmy backbox:

So a good choice or some things not to taste?

definitely looks better mate, and thats probably the only decent aftermarket rear bumper i've seen on a 'g'. if i had 1 fault to pick out of all your hard work, it would be that you should've blanked off the standard exhaust gap. but thats only minute detail.

I didnt realise the irmy backbox wouldnt fit until i had the bumper painted, so it will be blanked eventually but that involves painting it again.

The rear bumper was a complete nightmare to be fair. It took a lot of work to fit and it GRP from the groove in the standard bumper down. To get it to fit right there was alot of cutting and sanding and filling, a couple of days prep in it alone. Had it not have been donw it wouldnt have ever fitted right.

Some interior bits. Need either Half leather and red alcanthra seats or recaro seats, and still to retrim the rear door cards. Half leather and alcanthra seats retrim will cost £400-£500

Eventually want a 5" screen with satnav, freeview and front/rear cameras on it which will cost about £300 in total for all the bits

Big brake upgrade as well and disks for the rear, and tinted windows.

After im finished im then saving up for a Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 2.5v6 Twin Turbo. When i get it im going to keep it standard apart from alloys, tinted windows and an interior retrim. Also engine bay in it Sequential Dump Valves, FMIC and a few other bits to bring it to 375/400BHP. Ill keep the astra as well as its a 1.6 16v so cheaper to run day to day and i just couldnt sell it.

I really like that. The back bumper is awesome and the hard work has definatley paid off bigstyle with it.

The only issues I can see is that the paint wont last long on the coolant pipes and to be uber picky the welding is a bit messy on the exhaust but no-one will see it anyway .

    Top job
It would definitely go better with an engine in it
