Ash hit a kurb on Saturday...

... and managed to buckle to front passenger rim and substantially damage the trim.

She was going round a right hand bend, at about 15mph. Rear of the car slid out on ice which sent her heading towards the right hand kurb. She then over-corrected the spin and sent the car straight towards the left hand kurb, where the car ended up going up the kurb and narrowly missing a lamp-post.

Damage, 1 buckled rim, 1 damaged wheel trim, and tracking knocked out.

Have ordered a new rim and tyre from Vauxhall, total of £115. Hopefully the old trim will still hold, otherwise thats going to be another £20. Had the tracking done yesterday which cost another £30. All in all, an expensive few moments! Hopefully it won't happen again!

Special shape steelie. They are like a 5 spoke design, so that when the wheel trim goes on top, you can't see the steelie, giving the impression that its an alloy. Chances of finding a scrappy anywhere near with a facelift Astra MK5 and those rims on is very slim!
